Our Journey

Our Journey

Pamoja Group traces its roots to the 1950s, when it was established as RM Patel & Partners Ltd. What began as a focused enterprise in East Africa has evolved into a diversified, vertically integrated platform operating across agriculture mechanisation, large-scale cultivation, storage and logistics, agricultural data intelligence and industrials, with operations in Kenya, Uganda, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates.

For over 70 years we have maintained a steadfast commitment to operational excellence, innovation and sustainable development. Our longevity is a testament to our ability to adapt to changing market dynamics while preserving the core values that define our enterprise: integrity, partnership, and a genuine commitment to the communities and environments where we operate.

Our operations span Kenya and Uganda in production, with strategic hubs in London for trade and partnerships, and Dubai for market access. Yet despite our reach, we remain deeply rooted in the markets that shaped us, understanding local dynamics and driving sustainable growth from the ground up.

How We Lead

Stewardship across three generations.

Three principles guide how the team approaches the next chapter of the Group.

Our Vision

The current generation of Pamoja Group leadership carries forward our heritage while charting an ambitious course toward sustainable, inclusive growth. Our vision is to become the most trusted partner for agriculture and industrial development across emerging markets, recognised for our commitment to excellence, environmental stewardship and community impact.

Our Approach

Third-generation leadership brings fresh perspectives while respecting our foundational values. We combine decades of institutional knowledge with contemporary best practices in sustainability, technology and governance. We recognise that creating lasting value requires balancing financial performance with environmental responsibility and positive community impact.

Our Commitment

We are committed to building a Pamoja Group that thrives for generations to come. This means investing in sustainable agricultural practices, developing our people, adopting clean technologies, and maintaining the highest standards of business ethics. We measure success not just by profit, but by the positive impact we create across the economies, ecosystems and communities we serve.

Our Values

The principles we hold ourselves to.

Three values run through every decision, from how we negotiate an offtake contract to how we restore a depleted field.

Integrity

We conduct all business with transparency, honesty, and ethical standards. Integrity is not merely a value, it is the foundation upon which trust with partners, employees and communities is built. We honour our commitments and take responsibility for our actions.

Partnership

We believe that sustainable growth is achieved through collaboration. We work as genuine partners with stakeholders across our value chains: suppliers, customers, communities and institutions. Our success is intertwined with the success of those we work alongside.

Sustainability

We are committed to creating positive environmental and social impact alongside economic value. Sustainable agriculture, responsible resource management and community development are integral to our business model, not afterthoughts.
